The Donkey's Mass is inspiring and energising. It makes us see and dream, sometimes to the point of nightmares. It takes us into an organic, unique and iconoclastic universe. A frightening operating theatre, a lectern, animated fetishes, half-human beings, half-beasts... form large and powerful stage sets. The visual artist, surrounded by his co-creators, offers us a performance that is both artistically and physically powerful, filled with startling and shocking images. A kind of dance of life, crazy and imaginative, which with its "coincidences" brings the thrill of improvisation to the show, over which the performers have full control. Carnival. Ship of fools. A pagan fair. The festival of the donkeys.
