The production was created as part of the BiTeater programme, with which Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana promotes the puppet debuts of up-and-coming theatre artists, and explores the field of longing and wish fulfilment. It is about the courage it takes to overcome the fear of being forgotten. What do we want to leave behind? What do we even dare to want? And how far is the path to our deepest dreams? The story of Karel Žlábek and his unique, ambitious project offers a thought-provoking reflection on the courage that today's world demands of the individual who dares to imagine a better future.

Ljubljana Puppet Theatre is the central puppet theatre in Slovenia, which celebrated its 75th anniversary last year. Every year, it puts on ten new performances for children, young audiences and adults at six venues, combining classical puppet forms with various contemporary performance practises. The theatre also takes care of the rich heritage of Slovenian puppetry, which can be seen in the Museum of Puppetry at Ljubljana Castle.
