Terror is first and foremost an image of absolute suffering. The free individual, imprisoned in an indefinite space. A tumour in constant motion, in the limbo of our nightmares. The animator Antonin Lebrun goes into the void, to the puppet, and moves it. The result is a horror that, in a masterful miniature, conveys the humanity with which the puppet speaks to us about ourselves and our human existence. A gesture, a breath, a voice, reconstructed through the body of someone whose life has been taken. The performance evokes a mixture of empathy or even identification, bordering on discomfort, but above all an understanding of the horror experienced by the creature on stage. At the same time, it is funny, sad, compassionate and sensitively moving.
